Drop-Down Boxes

I had a template forwarded to me which included drop-down boxes. The copy,
when opened, has the drop-down boxes working. When I edit the document and
save it, either as a template or a document, I can't get the drop-down boxes
to work. I can click on properties and see the choices are there, the
drop-down box is enhabled, and the bookmark is listed. Can any one advise how
to fix this to enable the drop-down boxes again? I did protect the document
again.

What kind of dropdown boxes are these? activeX controls? Form controls? AutoText
lists?

I'm guessing these a forms controls from the description of the "properties"
you've looked at. So, if you use Tools/Protect document and protect it as a
form, then click in a dropdown field, what do you see / what happens? IOW, how
does it not work?
