Drop Down Links

Hey guys, I have created a web site that is frame based. In the left frame,
I have the drop down list boxes that are attached to URL's to pull up the
appropriate page. This information comes up in the main part of the frame.

It works great on the first time, but if I navigate away from the page in
the main window and want to go back to the page in that I previous selected.
I have to go to the another link in the pull down, first and then I can go
back to the orginial link and the page will pull up.

I want to be able to select the link again and have the page pull up. I
don't want to go to the other link first and then go back to the first link.
What do I need to do so that each time I select the one that I want it will
take me to the correct page, even if it is the same link.

Look forward to an answer. Any questions let me know.

The link in your side frame, shouldn't change based on whatever page you are looking at in the main
frame, however frame do have a drawback when trying to use the browser's back button.

Do you really need to use frames?

Thomas, I don't really need to use frames, but I like it better. The main
reason is because if I have to change something on that page, then I do it in
only one location.

The link in the side frame won't change. The back button works just fine
because the main frame is the only thing changing. Now, with the link, I
want to be able to have it pull up the page each time I select it. I don't
want to have to go to the second line and then go back to the first one in
order to pull up the same page.

So I'm looking for something like a reset or a clear command that will say
that this page hasn't been visited after I do visit it. This way, I can
select the page again from the pull down menu. It's almost like I need to
refresh the frame.

Thanks for your help

Harddrive:

You might want to consider using include pages in place of frames of all
you're after is being able to edit a single point to make a change on
multiple pages.

Food for thought. Everyone has their preferences.

I am still not following....

"Now, with the link, I want to be able to have it pull up the page each time I select it. I don't
want to have to go to the second line and then go back to the first one in order to pull up the
same page."

Can you put this on the internet and provide a URL, so that we can see this issue?
