Drop Down list problem selecting

Hallo

I Hope some one can Help me I have a 2 drop down list and a few check box's.
What i want is when the page opens that 1 of the drop down list and the check
box's should be disabled and greyed out till i select a specific value from
the other drop down box's but only if i select a specific value all other
values from the drop down box should still disable the other drop down box
and check box.

Not exactly as requested, but take a look at
www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/layered-form.htm
which hides unwanted fields until an appropriate check box or dropdown item
is selected.

I know you can disable fields, but I wouldn't lnow how to do this with a DD,
as in Javascript the entire DD would act as a single field. If there was a
way your choices were minimal enough to use checkboxes it could be done, or
with yes no with radios.

Not a script person myself, but ASP would probably do this easily.
