Drop down list

I have a new worksheet setup however, excel will only allow me to ente
so much sata in the drop down validation list.

I need at least tripple the amount that is allowed any way of doin
this.

I even tried putting the list in Open office and that al worked fin
then tried to open it in Excel but excel just deleted the bottom of th
list

Any suggestion

Hi!

In the grand scheme of things, that's not a very long list!

How EXACTLY are you setting up your drop down? What version of Excel are you
using? If I remember correctly some "early" versions have a problem (bug)
when using drop downs AND the sheet has FROZEN PANES or a WINDOW SPLIT.

Hi thanks for your replies I was just being this ,

I put a list in one colum then selected this list to go into the
validation and then hid the colum and all works fine now
