Drop Down List

I need to put a drop down list in a cell in a table I
created in Word. The directions for the drop down are not
clear to me and I'm not even sure it is what I'm looking
for. I need for it to look and operate like
the "validation" type drop down where you click on the
arrow and a list appears, you choose one from the list and
it populates the cell.

Suzanne - Bill Coan's article works great but I had this
problem using it. I created a form letter template
inserting AutoTextList fields in a table. Then I emailed
The .dot file to another computer. It all worked fine
except the items in the drop down list were limited to
normal.dot AutoText entries - not the items saved to the
template I emailed. Any ideas why?

Also, I have spent hours trying to learn form fields. How
can I get an overall, practical, education here?

Are you sure you specified the template you sent as the storage location
when you created the AutoText entries? "Look in" must be set to your
specific template, not "All active templates" (the default), which saves
them in Normal.dot.
