drop down menu in a cell

Hi,

I have seen Excel program where when you click on a cell,
a drop down arrow and menu appear so a user can choose the
item from the drop-down list. I know you can add a drop-
down combo box using the icon from Forms toolbar; but do
you programmed to have the drop-down on the cells.

I am trying to create a form in Excel using the Data
tracking features. But I want all the entry data to be
standard(spelling, caps, font formats etc...) so that is
why I want to use this feature.

Can you direct me in the right directions? Thank you.

Betty,
I just found out how to do this recently - it is easier
that I thought!

First, create your list of items you want to appear in
your list - I would put them on their own worksheet.
Name the range where they reside so you can refer to them
easily and make changes when you need to.

Next, go to Data, Validation and change the validation
criteria to "List" and specify your range in the "Source".

Done!
