Drop Down Menu

How do I create a drop down menu in a particular cell. I want the menu
to contain alternate date the user can click on and it will
automatically enter the cell once clicked.

1. Select the cell on the spreadsheet,
2. Then from the menu bar DATA > VALIDATION
3. In the SETTINGS tab, use the scroll down beside "Allow:"
4. choose "List"
5. Enter in the options you wish to give the user either as values separated
by commas or as a cell reference.
6. Done!
