Drop Down menus front page multiple selections

When I create a drop down menu with multiple selections I can only enter a
range of values (say items 3, 4 and 5) when all I want to enter is 3-5.

Am I hitting the wrong key (shift) when I select or do I need to do
something to the menu.

Try holding the down the Ctrl key as you select each.
