Drop down menus

Where's Bob?

My excel and Word drop down menus display very slow when selected. Does anyone have a fix or know why?

Well I figured it out myself. Apparently within Excel I
had selected Tools, Customize, Options tab, and picked
random menu animations down at the bottom.
