dropping time from a date-time field

This should be simple
we have a field 2005-01-07 12:00AM.....
We only want the 2005-01-07 part (no time part)

Here's a quick example of the Int function:

MsgBox CDate(Int(Now)), , Now

One way:

=INT(A1)

format as date.

(XL stores dates as integer offsets from a base date, and time as
fractional days).
