DsoFramer and Compatibility Pack

A

aris medina

I have encountered this on my project. But I have resolved the problem using the following steps:

1. Download and Install service pack 3 for Office 2003
2. Provide the program id "Word.Document" when opening file from dsoframer like the this: (in VB6) dsoframer.Open "D:\File.xlsx", true, "Word.Document"

Hope it helps,

Thanks,

On my system there's Word 2003 installed with the Compatibility Pac
for the 2007 file format. Opening a .docx file using Word 2003 work
properly

I've now downloaded the latest DsoFramer (version 1.3). Using th
sample programs VB6TestApp and VB7TestApp I can open .doc file
successfully, but .docx files fail wit

(-2147217149): The associated COM server does not support Active
Document embedding

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
