Dumb Question: Is there an alternative to OWC when using SQL 2008 ?

I am currently using OWC pivot table in various web apps as front end
to olap cubes in SQL 2000.

I am looking to switch to SQL 2008 and had assumed that it would have
some options for pure web based client accessing of cubes (as I am
looking to move off OWC) - but I am not seeing anything in SQL 2008
that enables web browsing of it's cube - am I mmissing something or
does anyone have any pointers ?

TIA

Have you tried reporting services? I don't think there is anything out there
that will allow you to slice a cube on the Web, except 3rd party.

Have you tried reporting services?
from what I can see of reporting services it can use SSAS as a source
but only for "pre-canned" views - no interactivity for clients
I don't think there is anything out there that will allow you to slice a cube on the Web, except 3rd party.
So I am discovering - there's a couple of free things - apart from
that, the MS offering is Excel 2007 or as you say 3rd party (which
tend to be expensive)

thanks for response
