duplex printing in Publisher 2002

Hello, I am in need of help. I use MS Publisher 2002 to create my tri-fold
brochures. I normally print to an HP Officejet 5610v printer with manual
duplexing.

My problem: I just purchased a new HP Officejet Pro L7780 which has
automatic duplexing; however, no matter what I do, I cannot get my brochures
to print right.

What happens: Every time it prints, the document moves the left section
over so that there is about 1/2 inch margin on the side, but even worse, even
after it moves it over it still cuts off part of the wording! I have tried
to print the document without the duplexing and with the auto duplexing. I
have tried to move the text over until it is about 1 inch away from the
margins, and it still cuts off the words on the left side. I just spent 1.5
hours on the HP support (online chat with their rep) and they swear this
isn't a printer problem, it is a Publisher problem.

The kicker: I have tried to print other types of documents, MS Word, MS
Publisher documents that aren't "landscape" documents, and they all print
fine, and they print very close to the left edge with no problems. What am I
missing here?

Please help!

Brochures are hard to adjust in a duplex unit. This is what it says in your
manual
If you are using the duplexer (available with some models), the minimum
top and bottom margins must match or exceed 12 mm (0.47 inch). (This will be
left and right in landscape mode).

I even tried it as a plain borderless print job, no duplexing, just tried to
print one side of the document, and it brought the text all the way to the
edge on the right side, but still indented 1/2 inch on the left even though
the text was all the way to the edge on the left in the Publisher document.
I cannot figure this out.

I don't know what else to tell you, pfox. This isn't a Publisher issue. You can
manipulate the brochure differently if you are game.

If you want, send me the file and I will see how it prints here.
