Duplex printing on Samsung CLP550

My new CLP550 will print both sides of the page in a single run if only
I can make it work. Alas, in Microsoft Word under the layout menu the
duplex printing options are greyed out. The printer is correctly
identified in the Printer Setup Utility and is described as a generic
postscript printer so the drivers would seem to be correct but I just
don't have the option of duplex printing. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

I don't have experience with that printer, but on others with duplexers
as options, you need a trip through printer setup utility to declare
that the option is installed. Choose 'installable options' in the top
selector box and follow your nose from there. (If you don't get one of
those, then.....
'generic postscript printer' does not look right to me. Are you sure
you have the proper ppd (aka driver) in place?
