Duplicate addresses in Contacts

I'm having a problem where I have two computers, both running Outlook 2000.
We want to export the Contact list from one computer and import it into the
other Contact list. The export goes perfectly. The problem lies when we
import the pst file into the other Outlook. When we go through the import
process, duplicate and even triplicate instances of contacts show up. We're
working with a clean Contact folder, nothing in there.

Any ideas?

In all likelyhood the Contacts are being stored on
the Exchange server. Once you setup the new machine
they should be there as soon as you connect to Exchange.
There should be no need for exporting or importing.

Good luck,
Tom

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. There is no Exchange server. There is
only two computers, one with an address book that the other person wants.
