Duplicate browser windows open from Outlook hyperlinks

Everytime I click on a hyperlink in Outlook it opens two
duplicate browser windows. I've tried everything short of
total re-install. Can anyone help?

The first one to come up is my default browser. THEN, IE
comes up. Obviously, IE is not my default browser in
this case. That's one computer. One my other computer,
same thing, but IE is my default browser (for now). This
is Outlook 2003 and AFTER I installed SP2.

Let me guess: Foxfire. Whatever your default browser, it does not set
itself as the default browser correctly, leaving some of the registry
settings governing this choice still pointing at IE.

Yep, issue seems to be with Firefox. Thank you. Now I'm
having trouble using MSFT's "Set program access and
defaults" to set the default to Firefox correctly.

This is what worked for me:

1. Open Mozilla. Use Edit/Preferences to set it as the default browser.
Click OK and then close the program.

2. Open Firefox. Use Tools/Options and turn on 'Firefox should check to see
if it is the default browser...'. Then click 'Check Now' and indicate that
you want Firefox to be the default.

3. Click OK then close. It seems to work for me now.

Another Jon.
