Duplicate (Ctrl-D) changes size of duplicate object

I'm using Visio 2003 sp2, newly installed on this machine. By dragging on the
corners, I have changed the size of shapes I'm attempting to duplicate.

I've used Visio 2003 for years. Previously, when I used Ctrl-D to duplicate
a shape, the new shape was the same size as the selected shape. Now when I
duplicate, the new shape reverts to the size that the selected shape was
before I changed it.

While this might be useful to some, it's not to me. How do I set Visio to
duplicate the current shape accurately?

Thanks.
