Duplicate emails downloaded by outlook 2k

I read messages with multiple systems in multiple
locations and I usually use the "leave email on server"
option set in Outlook 2k. But one of my systems keeps
downloading all the messages (previously downloaded
emails) and not just the latest ones. This is very
annoying and leads to long hours to clear off the
duplicates. I have seen this sporatically with different
system running outlook 2k on NT4.0 and Win2k.

Any clues how to Fix this?
