Duplicate Entries

Using Excel 200

I have a range of cells (a1:a1000) that consist of numbers
I do not want any duplicate entries in this range
What can be done to restrict duplicate entries

You can use the advanced filter (data>filter>advanced filter),
then use unique records only. If you want to restrict entering of
duplicates for typed in duplicates use data>validation
