Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

That sounds drastic.. but if it helps... I use the same AVG email scanner on
2 computers and get duplicates from some people on one of the computers and
from others on the other. Is it random?

AVG certainly has no effect like that on my computer. Of course, I do not
have it scan mail, since it doesn't add any protection.
