Duplicate login Opening Sharepoint Docs

Tried doing a search on this but no luck.

Ok here's the setup

Wink3 Server Hosting Project 2k3 and SWS on same box. SQL 2k is different
box. Project is set to only allow Windows Auth. All of the user account
are set for the Project2k3 Server and NOT the Domain Server. The Project
and SQL box's are joined to the domain.

When an outside user logs in they get the User/pass (domain if not XP) ntfs
challenge and log in. Then if the go to the sharepoint list and try and
open a document that they have permissions to see from sharepoint
permissions, they get asked to authenticate again. If they type the same
thing they typed before, no problem. Is there anyway to remove this dual
log in?
I think that if you added our web domain to trusted sites it might not do
this, but some of the people that use this sight have to ask what a browser
is before they can get in to the site. So I would obviously like to take
any configurations out of their hands and make this as seemless as possible.

Thanks
