Duplicate My Tasks Web Part - Missing Tasks

R

Ryan

Good afternoon

During some maintenance the My Tasks web part was accidentally deleted from
the shared view of Project Server 2007. It was then added back. However,
some resources are now seeing duplicate My Task web parts (My Task, My Task
2) and not all assignments are displaying. I tested this with a new user
account and it seems to work fine.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Thanks for your help.

(If this is a re post I apologize, as I did not see my post from this
morning display on the board after several hours)

Thank you for that suggestion. I had the user try to clear his cache with
no luck.

Some more details:

For this user, the 2nd My Tasks displays all tasks. The 1st My Tasks does
not display any new tasks nor will it respond to changes in the view options.

When I try this with a test account, I only see one My Tasks and all tasks
are displayed.

Any suggestions you might have are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

Ryan:

Is it possible that the user accidentally edited their version of the page?

Good afternoon
In the drop down next to the users name, have them reset to the Default Shared Web Page. Had the same problem and this is how we corrected. This happens if a user personalizes the page then the Admin resets the Shared Page.

Hope this helps.

To prevent unwanted user personalisation on the pages of PWA (and likely
reduce you support hours).. go to :
Project Web Access > Site Settings > Permissions > Permission Levels >

then I guess select the appropriate like 'Team Members' or whatever (leade
Admins for the start : ) ) .. and untick options under 'Personal Permissions
' as you find appropriate (at least the top one)... then they can't
personalise pages or add/remove web parts and blame you / server for that :))
