Duplicate NT Account

I am trying to add a new resourse into the Enterprise pool but I keep getting
a message that his nt account already exists but when I pull up his record he
does not have an NT account associated with his name. I've checked to make
sure that he isn't an inactive resource, I've tried deleting his information
and re-entering but I keep getting the same message. Any idea why this may
be happening and how to fix it?

He's probably an existing user that's set to inactive, or his NT id is
(incorrectly) assigned to someone else in the MSP Server.

- Check for his name in the web (2002: Admin-Manage User and Groups web
page). If he's inactive, he won't show up in the Resource Pool in MSP 2002
(I don't have 2003).
- If he's not inactive, check to see if someone else has that NT ID assigned
to their name.

You can include Inactive Resource in the Enterprise Resource Pool view.

The user might have an inactive Project Server account and not be in the
enterprise resource pool.

Another possibility is that a Server Account with this user's windows user
account was deleted from PWA without first removing the Windows User Account
from their account information. When you delete a user from PWA>Admin>Clean
Up Project Server Database the system does not delete the information, it
appends the name of the user account with Deleted and the date of deletion.
