duplicate page numbers?

How do I get rid of duplicate page numbers and correct them to for exaple
page 1, page 2 etc? I appreciate the help

Hum, I do not see any duplicate page numbers in your overwhelmingly detailed
explanation! ;-)

Seriously, you need to give a bit more information (document content,
expected results, observed behaviour, actions taken...).
Also, the Word version you are using is useful too.
