Duplicate personal folders

I seem to have 2 personal folders. I obviously imported it incorrectly. How
do I get rid of the one that I don't want? Or is there a way to merge them?

Are they identical folders containing the same data, ie mirror images or do
they contain different data?

One has the same as the other, but adds more recent info. So I could do
without the older one. But when I right click on it, it won't let me delete
the folders.

You would need to set the one you want to keep as the default mail store. As
you didnt post your version of outlook, with outlook closed use the mail
applet in the control panel to designate the default data file, then remove
the other.
(you may have to examine properties of this personal folder set, within
Outlook, in order to see the correct path/name)
