Duplicate reminders in Entourage

Hello there,

I have a user in our company that has Entourage 2008 WSE, connected to our Exchange 2007 server. No Sync Services on, everything more or less standard. He periodically gets duplicate reminders (not events, just the reminder), in Entourage only. Not in OWA or on Outlook 2007.

Anyone seen this before, or have any suggestions?

Thanks!
Jason

Jason,

I am getting duplicate reminders now. I should have noted the circumstances
since I can't remember now but I had some significant problems with Entourage
related to the Main Identity (Entourage quit unexpectedly and I had issues
opening it later). I got things working again possibly by repairing the
database but since that time, all my previous reoccurring meetings display
two reminders. Somewhere Office Reminders must have a residue/cached copy of
these reminders?

Did you resolve your issue?

I have the same issue. It seems isolated to the identity. I believe the
issue occurred when Entourage crashed and I was forced to rebuild the
database to get it working. I had duplicate notes, tasks and "office
reminders".

Is there a way to flush the local office reminders cache?

Anyone?

Diane,

What do you mean by "individual files"? Are event reminders stored as
separate files? if so where?

In Calendar window, select Calendar Views > All events. This gives you a
list.

If you sync to iCal, you can use iCal Dupe Deleter to remove. Turn off Sync
Services first, then turn on and tell it to overwrite Entourage with iCal.

Diane,

Thanks. I did not think of the obvious that I had duplicate calendar
events. It appears that the duplicates were added to my local calendar
which I don't use.

At least that's an easy fix. :)
