We need to export task data from MS project schedules and have been trying
this by means of saving the schedules to Excel pivot tables.
We only need tasks data, not resource nor assignment data. And the summary
tasks data must not be exported at all.
What happens is that many tasks get duplicated, which is visble as the
column Unique-Id shows the same value for several tasks.
The tasksk get splitted (without any wanted interaction) after being
exported, most probably based on the outline levels above the task counting
from the task up to the outline level with the WBS-Id 1.
The 'unfriendly' point on that ist, that this uncontrolled and unwanted
split of a task into several, only maintains a consistent value for the
scheduled work and the dates of the task (across the splitted tasks) , but
not for any additional column, we have added.
Many thanks in advance for assitance.
