I have a database in access 97. One of the tables is named Company, with over 40000 records. Now, I have to import another 60000 records from another database. I have already imported the 60000 records into a separate table of the database. Now, I have no problem checking for dups between the two tables, I just simply link the corresponding fields. However, I would like to see if anyone has any suggestion on how I can find dups that are just part of the field. For example, if Microsoft is a record in my Company table and Microsoft Inc. is in the imported table, they are dups and I don't want to import Microsoft Inc. Is there an efficient way for me to find all similar matches like that using a query, or am I just doomed to have dups like those
Thanks a million in advance!
