Duration Format and Format Command List

I would like to make it so Type: Duration could be formated to recognize sec,
min and hr an behave like size and position format, is there a way to achive
this.Any help would be great.

P.S. is there a format command list, man that would be helpful.

Just as a thought from the side (since I just took one of my peers through a
'time' discussion). Since time (under the covers) is really a 'double'
definition with the left side of the decimal being days and the right side
being portions of a day it would seem logical that it is basically a math
problem with some form of constant(s) for what you want to compute. The rest
is just applying the appropriate masks.
