Duration of using "split task".

Hello,
Would anyone be able to tell me how to modify the duration of a split after
I split a task? I have a problem when I split certain tasks. It'll
auotmatically split it for 3 days instead of 1 day at a time. This only
happens on certains tasks. I've tried to scroll over the remainder of the
task bar from the right to shorten the duration but it removes the split.
Would it have anything to do with "working days" & "non-working days"?

If you need to do 'small scale' splits I would zoom in the timescale so
that when you create the split you have more control. It could have to do
with the split needing to make room for 2 nonworking days though. You are
right about that.
