Duration on calendar view

Hi, am new to Project and having a few teething problems!
Am working on a project that involves working at the weekend, however, I
still wanted theweekend to appear shaded. This meant that project calculated
the duration of task incorrectly, (ie of they ran from fri to sun then it
called it 1 day)
I have remedied this i=on the Gantt by simply deleting the duration column,
however the wrong durations still appear on the calendar view.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW i CAN REMOVE THE DURATION FROM THE CALENDAR
VIEW??
Any help much appreciated!

Jill,

You have to create a calendar (Tools / Change working time / New...) with
saturdays and sundays declared nondefaultworking time.

Hi Jill

In the calendar view go to Format > Timescale > date shading. Here select
'Standard' calendar. Since default calendar 'Standard' has weekend off, so in
the view Saturday and Sunday would be shown as shaded but would be considered
working as per your project calendar.
