dynamic connectors in flowcharts

Hi

I am using Visio 2003.

I have created flowsharts for processes and have added text (yes/no) to the
dynamic connectors coming out of a decision. Occasionally, the location of
the text is not where I would like it to be on the line (eg, the "no"
response skips the next several process boxes and goes directly to the end of
the line - as a result, the line is very long and the text does not appear
anywhere near the decision). Is there any way to move the text on that line?
I have added a text box as a work around but that is not the optimal
solution, I'm sure.

Thanks so much -

Hello Karen,

If it's a dynamic Connector then you should see a small yellow diamond when
the connector is selected. This is a control handle that allows you to drag
the text to a position other than its default, which is in the middle of the
connector.

Hope that helps.

Best regards

John

Thanks for the fast response.

I know that I see the control handle when I do a curved line (line curve
connector) but I do not have a similar control handle on a dynamic connector
which allows me to do the straight lines with square corners. It only shows
the green control which does not work the same way. Is there a way to "turn
on" the yellow control handle on the dynamics??
