Hello all!
My situation: Worked to build an .mdb in Access 2002. Using forms, built a
front end to add data to the tables. Copied the FE to my computer, and it ran
fine.
Problem 1: After copying FE to another computer (without access) and trying
to add a record, I get this error message: "Data provider or other service
returned an E-FAIL status." After installing a myriad of different things,
like .NET framework and things, I finally got the FE to work on another
computer. Then I promptly forgot what the magic piece was that fixed the
problem.
Problem 2: I had conflicting installations of office on my comp, so I
uninstalled and then Reinstalled Office on my computer, without MS Access.
Then I ran the updates on the website to fully update office. I now have
Office 2002 fully updated. But now I get that same error message when trying
to use the FE data access pages to add records to the database.
I know you may need more info, but I'm not sure what. Can anyone suggest
where to go from here?
Thanks,
Karl
