e-mail error "ox800ccod" at startup

When I start Outlook (XP-2002), I get the error 0x800CCOD-
"unable to find e-mail server-please verify the server
information. It will not automatically connect and check
e-mail upon starting the program. If I cancel that error
window, but then click the send-receive button, it
connects and checks mail normally. I have been through
all of the setting and I can't figure this one out.

How many mail accounts do you have? What sort of account(s)?
