Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange My Mac users do not see e-mail messages with the % sign in the subject in Entourage. If you view the message through OWA using Safari they display. The messages also display on the PC using Outlook or OWA. The junk e-mail options have been turned off in Entourage.

I've not heard of this problem with the % sign, however, it does sound
similar to the problem with message subjects containing a + sign. See this:

Hope this helps!

I figured out that it is URLScan that is blocking the e-mails. It seems funny that it wouldn't block it in OWA on either system. URLScan blocks

[DenyUrlSequences]
;.. ; Don't allow directory traversals
../ ; Don't allow trailing dot on a directory name
\ ; Don't allow backslashes in URL
% ; Don't allow escaping after normalization
;& ; Don't allow multiple CGI processes to run on a single request

I still don't know what to do because I don't think I want to disable those settings.

oops! A ";" means that it is commented out in URLScan. So the .. and & are already allowed. I am just going to comment out the % also.
