E-mail Reminder

We have just now created the Plan for all the projects that we are handling.
We are thinking of publishing it today.
SO, I just want to know the features available with e-mail notificaion.
E-mail reminder in PWA can be used for what purposes?
(eg)Remind the resource of the start date of task.
For What else can e-mails be sent?

Hi Meena,

PWA gives you quite a view e-mail notification options.
First of all you can decide if you want to receive emails about you and / or
your resource and you can set up mails which allow you to send them to your
resources. You can receive emails about
- upcomming tasks, overdue tasks, new tasks, modified task
- upcomming status reports , overdue status reports , new status reports ,
modified status reports
you can choose the frequency of the mail as well. I would suggest that you
go inot PWA go to the Home Tab and under "Actions" ( left hand side) you can
see links for "Alert me about my tasks and status reports" and if you are a
PM you can also use the link " alert me about my resources on tasks and
status reports"
