e-mail reply format change

In Outlook 2003, I have the e-mail format set to HTML. This works well for
new messages, and HTML message replys, however when I get an e-mail in Rich
Text, and reply, the outgoing message stays in Rich text, and my default
signature changes to some other font.

I have my outgoing e-mail set to HTML, replys and forwards set to qoute
original text.

How do I force all outgoing e-mail to be sent in HTML? (and to keep my
default signature intact?)

Outlook does this for a very good reason. if you sent all your emails in
plain text and someone replied in HTML you would not be best pleased, would
you? it is only common courtesy to reply in the same format in which the
email was sent....

Gordon, your response makes sense and is well taken, however I would still
like to use my font when Replying, including my default signature which seems
to change whenever I created a response using Rich Text. How can I force the
use of my font?

By clicking Format>HTML in the compose window. Outllok cannot be made to
override the incoming message format automatically.
