E mail won't go to Outlook instead of Outlook Express. why?

The 'default' email program is only used to decide who gets to send mail,
not who gets to receive it. If you open Outlook Express and it's got your
mail server info in it and it's set to poll for mail, it will do it. Remove
the mail server info from OE if you don't want it touching your mail

Because you're continuing to run Outlook Express. EiIther don't run it or
remove the mail account.
