E-mails disappear after opening

After I open an e-mail and then close , it disappears from my In-box. Any
ideas?



have a mac book 2.1 Mac OSX version10.5.8

It sounds to me as if you have one of the View options accidentally
implemented.

Try going to View in the menu bar and scrolling down to Unread Only /
Flagged Only. If either of these has a tick beside it, click on it to
clear the selection. Your missing emails should instantly reappear.
