Earned Value method

Can someone confirm if it is possible to switch midstream from the Earned
Value method calculated based on "% complete" to "Physical % complete"?

It seems that MS Project uses the method the file was created with to
compute BCWP. Even if you copy and paste the entire project to a blank
project file that has been created with the alternate EV method, it does NOT
allow you to change the EV method. Is this correct, or am I missing
something?

To change the EVA method after the project is already under way, first
change the option in Tools - Options - Calculation - Earned Value. Then
insert the Earnved Value Method field in any Task view, such as the Gantt
Chart view, and set the correct Earned Value Method on each task. I believe
this will solve your problem rather nicely. Hope this helps.
