It has been a while since I used Outlook 2000, but try Tools | Accounts |
highlight mail account | properties button and then go to the connection <?>
tab see if you can set the connection.
The other place you would want to check is Tools | Options | Mail Delivery
tab. Near the bottom should be 2 radio buttons and checkboxes.
