easy use 12 month planner, complex elements, basic user, help

A cry for help

I am assisting in a complex multi-country NGO project which requires careful
planning, but a simple to use template where action points can be easily
changed/ added and tracked month by month . Really just a 12 x 7 box
structure, maybe in excel than people with very basic computer literacy can
understand. Colour coding of different project elements and for different
countries and disciplines important e.g. Africa, logistics, media, September
etc. Important thing is for people with basic language and computer skills to
find it easy to understand and easy to use.

Any help much appreciated

It is quite difficult to provide an answer to your request as you have not
really explained what the template is to be used for.

Is it like a planner or project time line gantt chart?

The real concern you have is that it is to be used mu a multitude of
different people in different countries (probably with different language and
data settings).

You could try conditional formatting but that only allows three conditions
(<2007)

The other way is to use VBA and userforms to add delete and move items but
that requires some programming and I would not recommend that especially for
non advanced users overseas without 24/7 help line.
