Easy way to change file names?

Hi
I have to change the names of some images in folders in a web.
Is there a quicker way to do it or a tool to download which is better than
the usual right click rename
I have some 100 images to rename and only have one lifetime to do it in

The free IrfanView has a batch rename feature.
www.irfanview.com

Be sure to run it within FrontPage as the default image editor, with FrontPage and the web open.
However, FrontPage **May** or **May Not** automatically update the links to the images using this
method.

If you haven't yet linked to the images, then this will work just fine, and will rename 100 images
in about 3 seconds or less.

Hi
Its the image name I want to change,I want to set up an image search on my
website and I need to add a number at the front of the image name ie (003
name of image). but I don't fancy spending a few days doing it a long way.I
am going to start a new website(needs redesigning anyway) so the file update
that FP does is not necesary but I have about 100 thumbs and then 100 larger
images
