I have Office 2003 running on Windows 2K SP4in a terminal server. The
Office applications sem to work with the following exceptions (Office updates
include SP2):
Excel 2003 - When a user opens an excel file, a dialoge box appears:
Cannot fine the file filename/location (or one of its components). Make sure
the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are
available
They click on the OK prompt and can then open the file when clicked again.
If they choose a second excel file, it opens normally. If they open a third
excel file, they get the error message above.
Outlook 2003 - wants to open in "Safe Mode". User clicks on "Yes" or "No"
and Outlook proceeds to open normally.
PowerPoint 2003 - same as above
The following have been tried to correct the problem:
1. Office Detect and Repair - has had no effect / problems still persist
2. Re-installed Office - problem temporarily goes away but returns
3. Office removed and re-installed (server put in Install mode and
restarted) - problem reappears
This has been an on-going problem for 2 weeks.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
