Outlook automatically generates two e-mail messages and sends them
out, every
time it gets opened. How do I stop this from happening?
When was the last time you updated your anti-virus program and performed
a full scan? When did you last update Ad-Aware and Spybot to then scan
for spyware/malware?
Does it happen if you start Outlook in safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe")?
If not, you have an add-in you installed. Check Options -> Other ->
Advanced for what add-ins you have installed. You can uncheck them to
disable them (rather than uninstall them) and reload Outlook to see if
the problem continues.
You never divulged what were the contents of the automatic outbound
e-mails. Maybe you sent a couple of replies to read receipt requests
and they are stuck in your Outbox. Other than using OutlookSpy to
remove hidden items in Outlook, I don't know a means of extracting hung
read receipt replies out of Outlook. They could be hung because you
replied while offline but by the time you went online the e-mail account
they would've use was no longer defined.
