Edit Calculations in PurchOrd.dot template

Hello:

I asked this question a few months ago, but was unable to make the
suggestions work. So I am now coming back on the question.

This is Word 97 on a WindowsXP (Home Edition) Pentium 4 with 512 Meg
Ram

I need to revise the PurchOrd template do do the following
calculations, and resave it as a template:

1. Use the field, E9 (which does the sum of the fields above it to
make a SUBTOTAL, as the basis for the 2 sales tax calculations, so

Field E10 will take 7% of field E9, and print the calculation result.
(This will be Sales Tax 1). For example, if the total of the fields E3
to E8 gave a sub-total of $1000.00: in E9, E10 would calculate 7% of
$1000, and print a result of $70.00

2. Use the field E11 to: ADD the Subtotal plus Sales Tax 1, multiply
the result by 7.5%, and print the result of that calculation. So in
our example,7.5%($1000 + 70) = $80.25.

3. Field E13 should now total the:
Subtotal in E9
the 7% sales tax in E10
the 7,5% sales tax in E11
any amount typed into E12

So in this case $1000 + $70.00 + $80.25 = $1150.25

If I couul get just this, I would be pleased.

Then, if I have any further amendments, I will forward the question to
this group.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Peter, If you also have Excel, I would suggest embedding an Excel
table into your document to perform all the calculations. You will
find it much easier.
