Edit > Paste Special > Picture options

I recently upgraded to Word 2003 from Word 2000 & noticed that when I use
Edit > Paste Special > Picture there are now 2 choices:

* Picture (Windows Metafile)
* Picture (Enhanced Metafile)

What are the differences & when would you use each? I tried to find the
answer by searching the threads (I'm sure it's probably here somewhere!!) but
I haven't had any luck finding it.

Thanks - that explained a lot about enhanced metafiles. Do you happen to know
which format Word 2000 used when it executed a Edit >Paste Special >Picture?
My guess would be the Windows metafile.
