Edit Picture grayed out from Right-click

E

Eckplatz

Hi, I have the problem that when I right-click a graphic to edit it that the
"Edit Picture" is grayed out now that I have XP. With older versions 2000
and before, I could right-click a picture or screen print that I inserted and
edit it with lines, circles, boxes etc.

under extras / options you can set msword to be the graphics editor. This
is the case with me, but when I right click a screen print that I have
inserted into a document the (right-click) "Edit-Picture" is grayed out. If
I insert a screen print with msword-2000, then open it with msword-2003
(right-click) "edit-picture" is visable and I can edit the picture with word.

This is something I need when outlining problems with different systems or
creating manuals.

Where is the problem with msword-2003 ? Is there some setting or filter
that I've overlooked?

Thanks for your help and comments in advance !!!

Hi =?Utf-8?B?RWNrcGxhdHo=?=,

Try this:

1. In Tools/Customize/Commands, Category: Drawing, find and drag the "Word
picture" command to your Drawing toolbar.

2. Click this button to open Word's picture editor

3. Insert the picture with lines etc.

Thanks for the help! It takes a bit getting used to doing it this way, but
it did work!
