Editing a contact phone number will cause Outlook 2000 to shut dow

I have a couple of customers whose Outlook is shutting down whenever they try
and edit a contact's phone number or email address. Outlook is patched to
SP3, but is there more that I need to look at?

Customer's are running an Exch2K server.
