Editing a multi-line formula

When I click F2 to try and edit a long, multi-line formula and trace the
various dependents, the formula covers the column headers, making it
impossible to follow the dependent cells. Is there a setting I can modify to
make sure both the formula and the column headers are visible in edit mode
(without having to resort to edit in cell)?

Thanks

This behavior was improved in xl2007--you'll like it when you upgrade.

I use xl2003 and when I need to see the column headers, I'll make the window
less than max and resize it so that the formula bar doesn't cover those column
headers.

Well, you could always make the spreadsheet not fill the Excel main window.
Either use the spreadsheet's "Restore Window" icon in the upper right corner
or just click Window/Arrange from Excel's menu bar and OK any of the options
on the panel that appears; then resize the window so the formula bar
drop-down doesn't cover anything.

Another option is to temporarily increase the row height of row 1
by clicking and dragging on the bar between the row headers.
